An Open Letter To Carol Hunter,
Senior News Director at the Des Moines Register
RE: The Register’s Media Malfeasance

Dear Carol,
When I announced I was exploring a run for Iowa governor, the Des Moines Register went back seven years in my history to state: “Narcisse is best known for his contentious two years on the Des Moines school board. He faced censure from his peers following his string of stinging public criticisms about fellow board and school leaders.”

In subsequent articles The Register continued to cast me as …

Video: Reforming Iowa’s Tax Codes is a Priority

“Iowa’s tax code is one of the single biggest contributors to our state’s stagnation. We don’t have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem,” says the Iowa Party candidate for Governor.

After fixing the spending problem a Narcisse administration will reform the corporate income tax code and property tax code, roll back the sales tax, provide residential property tax relief.

“The income tax will be a flat fair tax that works better for all Iowans,” says Naricsse.

By reforming the tax codes, Iowans take the …

Spencer Daily Reporter: We have to start talking about individual responsibility

Spencer Daily Reporter: We have to start talking about individual responsibility

“I’d much rather be enjoying my season pass to Adventureland with my kid. But if the good people don’t do something, the bad people win. That’s how you make things better,” Narcisse admitted.

“It’s a big state,” he continued. “But the experience of doing 99 counties in the past has prepared me to do it efficiently and effectively. I enjoy getting out. Iowans are amazing poeple. Unfortunately the leadership the last 30 years has not been. In the 1980s, Gov. Branstad and Jack Hatch became fixtures …

Daily Iowan: Leadership needed to put state interests over cronies

Daily Iowan: Leadership needed to put state interests over cronies

“We need a vision for the state,” said Narcisse, 51. “We need, I believe, leadership that will put the interest of the state above cronies.”

A personal friendship with his opponents — five-term Republican Gov. Terry Branstad and Democratic Sen. Jack Hatch — should not stand in the way of improving the state’s population base and education system, he said.

For his second attempt at the gubernatorial seat, Narcisse said recent political turmoil that has sent some campaigns reeling improve his chances.

“Eric Cantor losing proved that every …

Des Moines Register: Non-patronage approach to appointments

Des Moines Register: Non-patronage approach to appointments

Regarding the economy, he proposed levying income taxes on only the first 40 hours that an individual works each week and offering rebates on state income taxes that taxpayers can direct to charities or invest in Iowa-based companies.

He also called for reorganizing state government to be more efficient, with less “bureaucratic excess, waste and duplication,” livestreaming all state board and …
